The weather is still nice... the BBQ is still grillin' (salmon tonight)...
Call me crazy, but this is the best time of the year... College football (take THAT Tennessee), NFL, the CHASE, and Baseball in its finals days before the playoffs... WOW!

So, SURF CITY huh? This seems like a really good place to input some thoughts. I completely agree, SUMMER is not over; in fact, it has just begun; COLLEGE FOOTBALL is the game of the season my friend; forget all the other sports, COLLEGE is where it's at my friend. AND WHAT TEAM SHOULD WE ALL BE VOTING FOR; yup, you guessed it correctly, THE BUCKEYES my friend - OHIO STATE. No if's and's or butt's about it. Come the 13th of September, once and for all, USC will finally know when to keep their mouths shut. All in all my friend, let the madness begin. You asked it, "could it get any better", I honestly don't see how it can.
